Mahatma Gandhi was
not a Christian, but he was one of the most Christ-like person that I have ever
known. He fought the British for the independence of his native India and the
rights of Black-Africans almost at all cost. He was physically beaten, he
fasted, he appeared before Courts to fight for the rights of his people, and
eventually he lost his own life for the greater good of the greatest number of
his countrymen.
Why not be like
Gandhi? If Gandhi, a non-Christian, did good things for his fellow men, if
Gandhi a pagan (Hindu) did good deeds for his countrymen and motherland, why
can't we Christians, do the same for our fellow men, countrymen and motherland?
As followers of Christ (Christians) great things are expected from us in
serving our fellow men for the greater glory of GOD.
In view of the
foregoing, I am asking, urging and encouraging everyone to be like Mahatma
"The Great Soul" Gandhi, to be an agent of change, to make a
difference for the good of our fellow men, and for us to have a better world to
live in. Amen
